I often question my work but I still don’t have a lot of answers. I know that whatever I do, it will never be more than a translation of feelings and/or thoughts. As an artist I don’t try to follow schools to fit within art history, I don’t follow tendencies and I don’t try to reach technical perfection. My language is literary since it is figurative and symbolic. I am not the artist that I chose to be, I am the artist that I happen to be.
Last years all my work has been based on one symbol that I named “Klink”. Although Klink is born of my synthesis of the human condition (the social predator animal), he represents life in general and the mathematical proportions of growing populations such as virus, ants or man. The repetition of one single symbol is also a satire of the modern times, where all seems to be done and imagined.
